ARABANI

"Arabani" is a combination (mix) of Arabic and Hebrew. The Israeli Arabs and the Druze community in Israel are using this "language"

Joseph, a 40 - years old Druze, is returning to his native village after 17 years, with his daughter, Smadar (16 years old) and his son, Eli (14).

The cause of his departure was his marriage to a Jewish woman, which is contrary to all rules of the Druze Religion. Joseph returns to the village to live with his mother after his divorce and with him he brings his two children, according to the Druze religion they can't be considered Druze (Druze is someone who was born to a Druze father and Druze mother only!)

The arrival, Causes uproars, first with Afifa mother who does not accept them at first but then changed her mind   like any mother that is simply asking to hug her son, it  lead her to go against the rules of traditional society and the village religion leadership. This encounter between cultures is causing confrontations between the new comers and between the village residents themselves.

Eli, start developing hatred towards the Arabic language and mentality, his views became more extreme and that is reflected in his teenage behavior. He begins to walk around the village dressed as a Religious Jewish. And on the other hand Smadar against all odds finds impossible love with Samir (18) a young Druze man from the village.

When she come to pray, Afifa thrown from the Hilwe (DRUZE chapel), Joseph is seeking for help, Sami his childhood friend. Sami quickly discovered as not different from the rest of the other villagers. there were also cases of violence against them, it starts with throwing stones, graffiti-patterned "pigs, go home", Joseph physically attacked by two men and a clear threat ... "get out… leave the village in two days' time…"

The Last night increases the tension among the family members. Are the threats to burn the house will be Carried out?
